Pastor Richard E. Willoughby is the founder of Voice In The Wilderness Community Development Corporation (VITW-CDC) and Senior Pastor of Promise Land Christian Community Church. A leader in the Indianapolis community, Pastor Willoughby works tirelessly to help those in need through services and programs that he has developed as Pastor of Promise Land Christian Community Church and as the CEO of Voice in the Wilderness Ministries.
Pastor Willoughby has a long-standing record as an advocate for those who are in need and less fortunate. While working as an employee of General Motors, Pastor Willoughby was elected as a Union Representative and functioned as the Chairman of the Civil Rights Committee. As a Minister and Pastor, Pastor Willoughby works diligently with local government and community leaders to provide for the spiritual, moral and physical/personal needs of anyone without regard to race, creed, nationality, religious affiliation/faith or belief, or sexual orientation.
Pastor Willoughby is married to Servant Kathy J. Willoughby, his partner in ministry. He has five children and ten grandchildren. Pastor R.E. Willoughby is a graduate of Indiana Vocational Technical College, Central Baptist Theological Seminary, a Journeyman Electrician (I.B.E.W. Local 481) and presently attending Martin University. He is President of Concerned Clergy of Indianapolis, President of the Board of UNWA/DC and Founder and CEO of Voice In The Wilderness-CDC.
