Voice in the Wilderness CDC was founded by Reverend Richard E. Willoughby, Pastor of Promise Land Christian Community Church. The ministry began as a radio broadcast program on WJJJ 1410 AM in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1995.  From the many calls that Pastor Willoughby received, he found that there were needs within the local community that he could address.

Starting with a food pantry, the ministry has grown as the needs and the staff capable of addressing those needs has grown. [Article in development] .
